ABOUT THE EMBLEMS ON YOUR DRUMS
WHAT DOES OLD AND NEW MEAN?
Pearl Championship Series Drum Slips - Old Emblem simply means the drum has the older gold or silver rectangle shaped emblems. New Emblems means they are the newer silver oval shaped emblems.
YAMAHA EMBLEM INFORMATION
Drum Slips are available for Yamaha 9200/8200 Series Drums, and 9300/9400/8300 Series Drums. You can tell exactly which series you have by looking at the numbers on the emblems. Example - 9200 snares will have MS9214U, 92 meaning 9200 Series and 14 meaning 14x12 size. MS9213U would be a 9200 Series13x11. For tenors, each emblem will have its series and individual size - Example - MQ8214U - 82 meaning 8200 Series, and 14 being that particular drum size, 14". The size changes for each tenor drum. An example of an 8200 Series bass drum would be MB8218U, 82 meaning 8200 Series and 18 meaning the 18" bass size. Each bass will have its particular size after the 82. This also applies to 9300/9400 Series emblems.
